     It’s our 26th season, we’ve expanded our lineup, and we hope you’ll be a part of it!

Summer Teen Camp and NYC Trip

Registration now open for the Summer Teen Camp and NYC Trip!

 

The Camp: June 4 - July 6

Join us for our sixteenth unforgettable summer as FHT's Summer Performing Arts Teen Camp prepares for an exciting, fun-filled adventure in the performing arts!
All experience levels will learn valuable theatrical skills, including audition techniques, stage movement, dance, mime, vocal training, introduction to film and video commercials.  Not to mention, students have a wonderful time and make new friends! Teen camp is open to students entering seventh grade through high school seniors.  Enrollment is limited.  Classes are held Monday through Friday 10am to 4pm.

The Show: 3 Performances - July 6, 7, 8

Throughout the course of the camp, students will have the opportunity to audition for and rehearse a fully-staged musical comedy.  All students will perform in this production and will play to the public for three unforgettable and exhilarating performances!


Optional New York City Trip: July 11 - 15

Teens spend five breath-taking days & four unforgettable nights in The Big Apple.
Included in the camp tuition:
* Round-trip airfare to NYC
* Transport to/from the airport

* Day excursions to major NYC attractions such as: the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Central Park, Museum of Natural History, Coney Island, Top of the Rock, and a guided tour of the famous Radio City Music Hall

Staff and Supervision

This is the sixteenth year of FHT's Summer Performing Arts Teen Camp, and while in New York City, all students will be chaperoned at a ratio of one chaperone to every five students, assuring safety and discipline.
FHT's Summer Performing Arts Teen Camp is staffed by experienced professionals including  acclaimed Valley director Peter J. Hill and one of the Valley's finest choreographers, Noel Irick.  Both are multiple ariZoni award winners for excellence in theater.  Long-time Executive Director of FHT, Val Stasik is always an enthusiastic participant in the summer camp and NYC trip and is available for additional support.
FHT has offered 24 years of award-winning theater and outstanding performance arts education and experience.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the Camp and Trip is $2395.  Tuition for Camp Only is $695.
Tuition includes all camp materials, instructional costs, and all New York City costs, tours and shows.  It does not include meals and spending money.  Money for meals, a $150 fee, will be collected closer to trip dates.  All major credit cards accepted.  Registration with $195 non-refundable deposit due by 04/30/12.

The Big Apple Corps - Earn Financial Credit

What is "The Big Apple Corps"?
The Big Apple Corps is a group of dedicated youth ages 12-18 who engage in fundraising activities all year to help defray some of the cost of their summer theater camp and trip to New York City
Join The Big Apple Corps and earn scholarships toward teen camp & NYC Trip! Membership opens in August.


Apple Corps Members Earn Points all year by:
* Working in the Mainstage and Youth Theater
* Helping paint and build sets
* Volunteering in the office and around theater
* Running concessions throughout the Mainstage and Youth seasons
* Perform and work Mystery Dinner productions
* Participate in fundraisers like rummage sales, car washes, Broadway in the Hills & more.
